Terminal Operating System

Since the year 2000 COPAS is engaged in the development of software for container terminals. Initially only single modules were designed and delivered, like E-Terminal, our Internet Access Module. Later on, other modules were developed and step-by-step a complete TOS (Terminal Operating System) took shape.

Plantask, a sister company of COPAS, sells and maintains the products Planmaster and Taskmaster. Planmaster is an advanced Vessel Planning System for Shipping Lines, Central Planners, Terminals and Agents. Taskmaster is installed on board of many container vessels. Copas and Plantask worked jointly on the integration of the two products for the benefit of vessel planning for terminals.

In 2005 COPAS obtained the rights of STEP, a container control system developed by Salerno Container Terminal. COPAS installed, personalized and maintained this product for the container terminal in Civitavecchia, Italy.

Subsequently a complete new version of STEP was developed, which we named STEP2. Additional modules, YARD, EDIStep, RFNet, VSS, VGS and TIS were added to the TOS product suite.

Currently the COPAS TOS is being used by several container terminals.
